How to use a Righthand with SurveyMonkey

Prepare a reviewed survey-answer coverage and theme brief from approved SurveyMonkey inputs, with a worked example, complete brief, access checks, and reconciliation.

Quick answer

Use an approved SurveyMonkey result extract to prepare a theme brief with answer coverage visible. Organize recurring observations and disagreement without treating a self-selected response slice as proof of what every customer thinks.

Start with a survey-answer coverage and theme brief that the survey owner can check against the original records. Righthand prepares the review artifact; the source application remains the operational record.

Establish the input route

SurveyMonkey’s export guide describes downloadable results and multiple file formats, including CSV, with different export options. Official SurveyMonkey reference, checked October 6, 2026.

The survey owner should select the intended export option and record all analysis filters. Supply question wording and response IDs with the approved slice; aggregate-only output is insufficient for tracing individual themes unless suitable supporting evidence is provided.

Check the current integration directory and Righthand setup documentation. A listed app does not establish every read or write action. For a connected route, verify the assigned account, available operation, object scope, and one permitted sample read. This guide also works from an explicitly supplied, approved extract; it does not require an unverified native operation. Keep credentials out of the article brief.

Worked input and output

These three records are synthetic illustrations, not customer results or a hands-on integration test.

Approved inputProposed review output
SM51: answer praises speed but criticizes accuracyPreserve both themes in the same response context
SM52: optional question unansweredCount missing answer separately from negative feedback
SM53: filtered group has one critical commentRetain minority observation without claiming population prevalence

The brief should state its denominator for each question. SM52 matters because the number of responses to one optional question may differ from total survey completions. SM53 should retain disagreement as evidence to inspect, without presenting one comment as a representative rate.

A complete first-run brief

Use an approved SurveyMonkey response extract and question definitions for October 12–16, 2026. Fields: survey reference, response reference, question reference, answer, completion state, selected filter, collection period. At Monday 9 AM America/Los_Angeles, prepare a survey-answer coverage and theme brief as source-linked Markdown in my private review thread. Preserve record identities and the extract timestamp. Group unresolved items by next action and responsible owner. Reviewer: survey owner. Do not contact respondents, alter survey answers, infer protected traits, or claim representative population findings. Result check: Compare answer counts per question with the supplied slice and trace every theme example to its response.

A permitted preparation step does not authorize a consequential write or an external send. Resolve proposed changes through the app's supported process after the responsible owner approves their exact scope.

Reconcile before widening the task

Changing analysis filters can alter the sample while leaving a familiar chart title unchanged. Record the filter and date window. Remove unnecessary personal details from quotations, and paraphrase only what the source supports; an ambiguous answer should remain ambiguous.

Use one survey question set for the first owner review. Ask the owner to verify SM51’s dual interpretation and SM52’s missing-answer count. Expand the brief only after the theme rules preserve dissent and the coverage note explains the actual sample.

For the first acceptance review, keep the original input slice beside the result and mark which items were checked. If access or evidence is incomplete, return that gap with its record identity rather than a confident completion statement. Review Pricing using the actual preparation workload and correction effort.
