How to use a Righthand with Calendly
Review Calendly bookings with event and invitee identities, reschedule relationships, time zones, and a checked preparation list.
Use Calendly for a booking-to-preparation handoff
A useful Righthand responsibility around Calendly is preparing tomorrow's meeting list and identifying missing context. Calendly owns the booking path; the assistant connects each current appointment to the preparation the host needs. This avoids confusing a new booking notification with a fully prepared meeting.
Calendly's rescheduled-event documentation shows why canceled and replacement records need careful interpretation. A cancellation associated with rescheduling is not necessarily a lost meeting. Preserve event and invitee references when reconciling the list.
Set access without inventing booking authority
Find the connection in integrations, identify the host account, and inspect its available read actions. Check whether your tools can retrieve the current scheduled events and invitee details required by the brief. If not, supply an approved meeting export or permit a read-only browser review.
Do not grant event creation or cancellation merely to prepare a report. A provider's API capabilities do not establish which actions are exposed in the selected Righthand connection.
Collect the correct preparation fields
For each meeting, retain event reference, event type, start and end time, invitee name, verified email, and any relevant supplied answers. Present time in the host's named zone. Keep the booking's original time-zone context where it helps avoid confusion.
Match contact records conservatively. An invitee using a personal address may be the same customer as a work contact, but a name match alone is not enough to merge the records.
An illustrative briefing request
At 4 PM America/Los_Angeles each business day, review the approved Calendly meeting list for tomorrow. Produce a private preparation table with current event reference, local start time, duration, invitee, event type, and supplied intake answers. Link relevant customer context only from the approved source list. Collapse confirmed reschedule pairs and show unresolved cancellations separately. Deliver to me for host review. Do not contact invitees, change events, or infer missing answers. Compare the final list with Calendly's current meeting view.
This example is illustrative. The recurring workflow should begin only after the host verifies the first list and the account-specific read path.
Expected result and reconciliation
A sample entry might read: “Discovery call; current Thursday appointment; prior Tuesday record superseded; intake goal supplied; company context missing.” That tells the host what to prepare without treating the earlier canceled record as another active meeting.
Check the count of active meetings, event times, attendee identities, and the sources used for preparation. A calendar invitation and a Calendly booking may describe the same meeting; do not count both as separate work.
Handle ordinary exceptions
If an event disappears, check its current status and access rather than assuming a cancellation. If a response field is blank, mark it blank. If a booking changes after the briefing, issue a clearly dated update instead of silently overwriting a list the host already used.
For actual rescheduling, define a separate authority brief and verify the supported update path. Follow Righthand connection setup and review plans for the ongoing responsibility.
